SPICE TOUR - ZANZIBAR

The history of Zanzibar would be incomplete without the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper and many other spices which are essential ingredient in a Zanzibari’s everyday life, it is the island’s connection to spices and herbs. Zanzibar and Spice is a romantic entanglement that dates back to the 16th century. Apart from being an important commodity on the trade routes; they can be seen in the plantations just outside Zanzibar town, this is also a fantastic opportunity to see the countryside and rural areas of Zanzibar and also connect with local people.

SLAVE MARKET MUSEUM - ZANZIBAR

The site of the old Slave Market is unique an experience wich can be combined with an itinerary of your choice. Go into the holding chambers to see how this wretched piece of history played itself out in small dark dungeon-type cells. The museum consists of the slave chambers, a monument, and the first Anglican Cathedral church in Zanzibar built in 1873 by Edward Steere, the third Bishop of Zanzibar and famous British abolitionist.

STONE TOWN - ZANZIBAR

Recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most unique cities in the world. Blending Moorish, Middle Eastern, Indian, and African traditions and architectures, it is possible to spend days winding through Stone Town's labyrinthine alleys; shopping; drinking tea; and visiting the city's historic sites.
